RECAM® is hydrophobic, inert, non-flammable, completely stable, and has no negative impacts on the environment. As it is inert it passed all the toxicity tests established by the Italian Ministry of the Environment. No solvents, no heavy metals and no traces of other toxic compounds are present within RECAM®, even in ppb.
RECAM® is a nanostructured material. Nanofibres, multi-walled carbon nanotubes and other nanoparticles which are integrated in RECAM® are not free to move, in fact they are blocked inside the cells of the nanostructured material. The medium size of RECAM® powder is around a few microns, not a nanomaterial, thus, no potential risks are observable.
RECAM®'s efficiency and compatibility with the environment have been certified by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and CNR (National Research Center).
